LAST WILL OF WILLIAM SPURLOCK
November, the 29th day, 1750
In the name of God amen. I William Spurlock being sick and low in
strength but in perfect sence & memory I intend as followeth my last will
and testament.
Item: I lend[?] to my beloved Wife Ann Spurlock all my moveable
Estate during her natural life.
Item: And after her death I give and bequeath to my son Drury
Spurlock one shilling stering
Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Charles Spurlock one shilling
sterling
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Frankling one
shilling sterling
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Ward one shilling
sterling
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Yarber one shilling
sterling
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Judith Spencer one
shilling sterling
Item: I give and bequeath all the rest of my Estate land and
moveables whatever to my Son William Spurlock
Item: I leave my beloved Wife Ann Spurlock my whole and able
Executrix of this my last will and testament

At a court held for Albermarle County the 14th day of May 1751
This last will and testament was proved by the oaths of Mary Corn and
Frances Crawley two of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded
And on the motion of Ann Spurlock Widow the executrix therein named who
made oath according to law Certificate is granted her for obtaining a
probate thereof in due form giving security on which she with Arthur Hopkins
& William Cabell her securites entered into and acknowledged their bond
accordingly.

Pursuant to an order of Albemarle Court we being first sworn do
make this just invoice of the Estate of Wm. Spurlock, Deceased as was
produced to our view.

To a gray mare & bell
To one parcel of Iron tools
To one Do of Do
To three baskets
To 1 qt mugg a meal cive bridle & bag
To a parcel of wooden vessels
to a parcel of lumber
to two iron pots & one pan
to wearing aparel
to a parcel of pewter
to a parcel of lumber
to two beds & furniture
to two books
to 7 head of cattle
The above is a true invoice of the Estate of William Spurlock, deceased,
as produced to us
