Marie E. White, 86, of Cross Lanes, passed away June 24, 2005, at Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born August 12, 1918, in Mammoth, a daughter of the late Jesse and Belle Wright Lester.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. White; three infant children; brothers, Wallace and Fred Lester; and a sister, Mabel Wyatt.
She was a past member of the Cross Lanes Woman's Club and Perrow Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Stanley E. of Spotsylvania, Va., George F. and his wife, Ramona, of Chipley, Fla., and James F. and his wife, Sally, of Pinch; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jesse Lester of Carlsbad, N.M.; and sister, Betty White of Nashville, Tenn.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie's name to the Alzheimer Association, 1111 E. Lee Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee Street West, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.


I know everbody is interested in the Cherokee lines of the families so I'm trying to tie it together. Below is info on the ones that were rejected. You need to compare those with the names on the "Lesters on Cherokee rolls" . It looks like not all were rejects for some reason. GOOD LUCK and I'll keep trying!!!
